Some before pics of our yard.
Deakin being a duck with his chips.
Deakin and Mila watching as our good friend Brad leveled our property, getting it ready for sprinklers!
Our beautiful Airedale Terrier, Mila
One of my first (and last) selfies.
Deakin and I made a giant train track all around the playroom and then played for days after.
Deakin loving using the tractor to knock off the trains. Boys...it's all about demolition.
For Spring Break 2014 we headed South to visit Cass and Ty in El Paso. Our dogs love each other! I wish Indie lived closer so they could play more often.
Deakin, crammed into the car while driving down. Don't worry, this was self inflicted. He actually had a clear seat. They were such troopers, mostly because they were so excited about seeing their cousins.
The three stooges in bed together. This is how they slept every night. Well, not true. I remember a night or two where Cass and Ty brought Gager into their room because my boys kept waking him up. Welcome to my life. These early risers are awake at the crack of dawn!
Cass took us to the zoo, where they had this amazing jungle gym playground. The kids loved it. Jonny not so much. He came barreling out of the slide and hit his posterior on the ground pretty hard, and he still complains about his rear. That a literal pain in the *#!!
More Playground fun...
Cass was teaching preschool while we were there, so my kids got to have some fun creative learning with Auntie Sally. She was fantastic.
Jonny, pulling a Mily Cyrus here. Oh well, I think he is handsome.
And what cousin trip would be complete without costumes!?
Cass took us to this amazing indoor playground with obstacle courses, timers, and a place where you can shoot soft balls at each other. So much fun. Jonny pretending to be sleeping so I have to grab the escaping children.
"Um, I've got this mom..."
Dill and Deak were such good little helpers with the twins.
Waiting my turn to shoot Jonny!
Mila, always a lady...taking over Indie's bed for the entire week. He was such a gentleman, he let her. What a sweet dog.
The house got really quiet for a few minutes and Cass and I got concerned. We found the boys hiding in the closet incognito. Love Deakin's goggles!!
We drove a couple hours away to New Mexico to see the Carlsbad Caverns. They were incredible. We had a bad time trying to get there...flat tire, food issues, baby vomit, and then we thought there was a time change and we wouldn't make it by closing, but alas we made it and were so glad. It was awesome!
This park ranger was really nice and explained lots of cool facts to us about how the cave was found and became what it is today.
These three are inseparable.
Cass took us to a splash pad! The kids loved it. It was a little cold for me, but being cold never stopped kids. I love how Dillon is holding Deakins face..."Dude, just smile so she'll be done taking pics and we can go play!"
That face...classic!
Beautiful Blakely Belle
For Cassie's 30th birthday we went to Texas Road House. There was a little playground outside where the kids enjoyed themselves.
Happy birthday to my beautiful sis.
And, never the party pooper, she even sat on the saddle while we all sang to her!
There was a live band and people dancing outside. The boys loved every minute of it. Dill and Gage got into it really quick, but Deakin took a minute to warm up.
This is what happens when your phone/camera gets stolen...
Photo bombers...
Back home...Deakin
Costumes at home are fun too.
We were a part of a neighborhood preschool group for Deakin. This was a little egg hunt for Easter. Deakin, ever the class clown wearing his basket on his head.
Showing off his spoils with friend Tanner Aardema.
I started growing and harvesting wheat grass. It was fun, until it died.
Mila, being her weird self.
Another park day. Pizza at the park, a family favorite.
The kids bedtime favorite...not so much Jonny's favorite.
These days, I wonder why the flip I spend so much gal-darn money on their clothing. In honest, I love, love, love being the mother to rowdy, dirty, smelly little boys!
The fun began this spring with dump trucks full of dirt coming to our barren yard. We loved watching as the dirt came, and then loved playing in it all summer long from toy tractors, to riding their bikes up and down the hills.
More Easter photos. Dillon smiling big, ready to hunt or his basket.
Searching is so much fun!
Enjoying their spoils...
The Easter Bunny always brings the most handsome, matching swimsuits. Must know that it is easier to spot twinners at 7 Peaks.
Bunny pancakes for Easter morning breakfast.
