My sister-in-law Leah had the great idea of taking the kids to the Gateway this last Friday! It was such a fun outing for the boys (and Lana)! This is a picture of Dillon having fun with the mallets and making music.

Dillon was having fun in the "heavy machinery" area! He LOVES tractors right now in life.

This was probably the high-light of the day trip for Dillon. IHC donated an actual helicopter for the kids to play in. Dad said that the helicopter wrecked, and so they fixed it up a bit and gave it to the museum. They have speakers inside the "copter" and it actually sounds like it is about to lift off! Dill was in seventh heaven.

The whole gang went out to eat at Applebee's in the middle of the fun. Dill was so exhausted that he borrowed Lana's chair and zonked out in a hurry. He was really darling though...he ordered his own meal. When the waiter came up without prompting he very clearly stated that he wanted mac'n'cheese. I didn't even know if they had it on the menu at that point. The waiter and I laughed and he told me they had some. What a goofy kid.

After lunch we went to the water fountains. It was so hot...but even still Dillon didn't want to get in the water. He thought it was too cold and wanted me to hug him in a towel. Unfortunately I didn't bring a towel, so he just got wrapped in my arms. My fav, probably not his.
